Rita's Baby Shower

Today we had a baby shower for Rita at work. It was a great day and lots of fun! I offered to make the card we are giving to her. I made two different versions just slightly different. Since we don't know what she is having I found some fantastic stripped paper to use that had all the colours in it.

Here is the closeup of one of the cards. I used Kraftin' Kimmie's Oh Baby stamp set. This is my go to stamp set for baby cards. It is so cute and can easily be used for generic, girl or boy.

On the closeups you will notice the difference between the two are the baby's blanket, pacifier and the woman's bracelet.

I used spellbinders to create the scalloped oval behind the baby. I liked the idea of using both blue and pink rather than just yellows and green.

I used the same colours in both images just in different areas. It kept the card very simple and gave two very different looks.

I coloured the image using the following copic markers:

E000, E00, E11, E13, E21, E93, E55, E57, E59, YR20, YR21, YR23, Y38, YG03, YG05, YG09, YG21

Hope you enjoy.

So beautiful! Your coloring on the piece is just perfect (love the blush on the baby's cheeks!). My step son had his first baby (girl) on Weds. I am over the moon this week! He lives far, so I have to get out there soon! Enjoy the weekend!
