Mom's Birthday
My Mom's birthday was this past Saturday.
Since she loves flowers I thought this image by Mo Manning was a great fit for her birthday card. We ended up having a little surprise party for her with some friends and family.
We had a great day.

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge - Anything Goes!
Well hello everyone!
It is a horrible day here in Toronto!! The weather is super gross, all cloudy and rainy, which in turn has completely messed my hair. Not to even mention the horrible storm last night. Holy Moley is all I got to say. The rain came down in buckets and the thunder and lightening rattled the house. Oh well, at least it isn't snowing.
So in honor of this day I thought lots of colour and a birthday theme would be great for Kraftin Kimmie's newest challenge. This week is hosted by Jenny and her challenge was Anything Goes! How awesome is that!!!
For this card I chose one of the three images in Birthday Buddies. This stamp set was released last July and I just love it. It is so great to make birthday cards with. The images are just super cute!!
I just love this little girl stuffing her face with cake. Don't we all wish we were that young so that we could do it and not worry about the calories. LOL.
For this card I used some old paper I found in my stash and a kraft paper base. For dimension i used some burlap. I am loving the burlap right now, it is so fun to play with on cards and just adds something, at least that's what I think. I also used some pink and green twine and some jewels. I also outlined some of the leaves ( i guess that's what they are) with stickles. Once the balloons were coloured I used some glossy accents on them to make them pop.
I coloured the image with the following copic markers:
Skin: E00, E11
Eyes: B00
Background: YR20, YR21
Hat: RV13, RV66
Bib: RV13
Dress: RV63, RV66
Cake: YG11, YR16, E30, E23
Balloons: YG23, RV66, RV13
Hair: YR12, E49, E57, E59
Table: C1, C3
Chair: E35, E37, E34
Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Scrapfest roomie prezzie
Here are the prezzie's I made for each of the girls who came to Scrapfest 2013 with us!! The theme of course was "Stamp"ede, so I created a very rustic cowgirl top. the actual glass and lit is a 3-wick candle from Bath and Body Works. We burned it until it was pretty low. Once cooled you can stick the glass in the freezer overnight and the next day you should be able to pop out the leftover wax. We then put them in the dishwasher.
They turned out so great! and smelled heavenly. We all kept sniffing the lids as they still smelled like the candles. LOL.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11
Gun: C3
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Clothes: B02, B04, R24, Y17
Other Supplies: CTMH Paper (Sarsaparilla), Burlap, Ribbon

Kraftin Kimmie Crop - Challenge 3
Hello All!
So I am in the middle of getting everything ready for Scrapfest this weekend. OMG the packing! What a nightmare! I can never just bring a few things...I even had to bring out my "big bag" urg!
Anyways, Kraftin Kimmie had an awesome crop on Saturday which unfortunately I only got to peek at for a bit as I was soooo busy. She did post 6 challenges though and I thought I would at least tackle one and would do the rest this weekend.
so here goes.....
Challenge #3: Fussy Cutting...
LOL...this one always works for me. I love the idea of a cut out image. I find it very hard now to not cut my images out.
In my card I used Kimmie's Tinkerbell image. I am such a fan of Tinkerbell. She's just plain AWESOME!
I used Close to my Heart paper, Maya Roads chipboard elements which i painted with gold paint, some random brads I found in my stash. I also used American Crafts glitter tape - LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff and the glitter doesn't get everywhere. Usually I am so covered in the stuff it's crazy.
I used the following copics on the image: YG03, YG61, YG63, E00, E11, Y11, Y15, B02, YR12
Hope you all enjoy!

Retirement Party and a card
Hey Everyone!!
Hope you all had a great Easter! We did here! We had a wonderful meal with family, there were 9 of us. It certainly was a full house.
Last night was my dad's retirement party. WOO BOY! We had such a great time. He was a policeman for over 30 years. Here he is in his dress uniform. He looks so handsome!
I think it's going to be hard for him letting go because he enjoyed it so much. It was great getting a chance to see him in his element though. I am lucky enough to see one amazing side of him but getting to see him with his work buddies was great. There were so many people who attended, and the stories. LOL. We certainly had some laughs. I had to sneak around all week to get things sorted for the party. I had help though which was fantastic. Al. one of the guys my dad works with made the poster of the photos I had scanned. Here is the poster that Al got together.
Isn't it awesome!! and I totally got the "I have a bone to pick with you" when my dad saw the speedo picture from our first trip to Mexico. Everyone loved it and it went over so well though.
Here is the table to put together for the gifts and some other photos we had for my dad.
The guys got him a beautiful glass plaque, and two beer steins with my dads team's logos (the old one on one glass and the new one on the other). Al got these done and they looked amazing.
We took the balloons and put them on each side of the table. Looked great!
Ok so now for a card. I am in the Old Hollywood mood again so I pulled Lana by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. For this card I decided to use a card map from Splitcoaststampers. I picked SC427 (the image to the right). I liked this card map when I saw it. I liked the clean lines and the multiple layers that this map used.
For this card I used the following supplies:
Paper: My Minds Eye (Breeze), Misc. cardstock
Misc. Supplies:
Queen & Co. Rhinestones in Snowflake, Miscellaneous Black Ribbon
For the image is used the following copics:
E23, E27, E59, E00, E11, R27, R89
Here is the closeup of Lana.
Here is the full view of the card.
Hope you enjoyed!
