Weekend in London

Well it has been an interesting couple of days! My sister got herself a dog "Bailey" but unfortunately was unable to keep her and had to return her yesterday. She has been beside herself. We got a call last night with her sobbing and so at 9pm last night I drove out to London. OMG I was so so tired....felt like the walking dead. I even had to sign at the top of my lungs in the car just to make sure I was staying awake. LOL...must have looked like a crazy person.

My sister is currenlty at work so I am getting a lazy morning, watching movies, blogging, sleeping. Anyways here is a card I did this week. Love this stamp so cute.

For this card I used the following Copic markers:

C1, C3
W2, W4
V20, V22
YG61
BG45
E33, E35, E00, E11
RV34

The paper I used is Prima - Alla Prima Collection

Well anyways off I go to get ready!

Enjoy!

Old Hollywood & KK Challenge 171

Hey All!

Just a thanks to those  who have been commenting on my posts, it is really appreciated!

Ok - so had an amazing weekend so far! I weighed myself today and am down 66.6 pounds. YAY!!! I am so proud of myself!!

On Saturday I spent some time with Carmen, Carol, Marjorie, and Christine scrapbooking. We had a great morning/afternoon,  I even brought some pumpkin chili for everyone for lunch. SO GOOD!!!

Now for some work I did this past week. Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge this week is to make a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a favourite stamp.

So I choose a stamp I have been in LOVE with forever; and such an icon! Plus she was a "bigger" girl. GIRL POWER!!! I am slowly learning to accept myself as I am, not what is deemed to be acceptable and she inspires me to be the best I can be. So here she is MARILYN!!!!

For this card I used some left over Echo Park paper from the Be Mine line. I am loving the different shads of pink! So Girlie and fits so perfectly well with this card.

Here the close up of Marilyn herself.

I coloured her with copic markers:

Skin: E00, E11
Dress: C00, C1, C3
Hair: Y11, Y13
Eyes: E44
Lips: R21

Other Miscellaneous Supplies I used were Lace, Jewels, and American Crafts Glitter Tape.

Well off to get my stuff together for work tomorrow.

Have a great night. Enjoy!

Golfer

Morning All!!

Today is a cold one here in Ontario. Little bit of snow but it's the wind chill that will get you.

Thought I would share a quick card I made recently. I haven't used my Stamping Bella stamps in awhile so I thought I would pull one out to play with. Since it is coming up to father's day I thought I would use some left over paper I had to create a more manly card. This image was created by Mo Manning and is called "the BIG GUY golfing".

This was a nice easy card to create as I only used a few embellishments.

I coloured the image with my copic markers and used the following colours:

Skin: E00, E11
Clothes: YG61, YG63, , R35, E84

Here is a close-up of the "big" man himself.

Hope you enjoy!

Trip to the USA - KK Challenge #170

Hey All!!!

Well I had an amazing weekend. I went to Buffalo with my friends Erin and Gracie. We had tons of fun! We mainly went for groceries. I LOVE Walmart in the states, so much better than up here in Canada, mainly because they have so many sugar free products which you can't get here.

We crossed the border about 8pm on Saturday night. We ended up going for dinner at Applebee's - what a horrible experience!!!! We ordered their artichoke dip and we it came to the table it was cold, NOT even a little warm. We sent it back of course. While we were waiting for it to come back we got our dinner and managed to eat it all and we never got our dip back. Suffice it to say we won't be going back there.

I also did my first Ihop breakfast...kinda bad now that I have had my surgery but I still enjoyed every minute there. I had eggs, 1/2 piece of bacon and some hashbrowns...it was superb.

We had a great day on Sunday doing some more shopping at Galleria Mall, Walmart (of course) and the outlets. We even stopped in Niagara on the Lake. My friend Erin and I are posing in the photo above in front of the clock tower.

We stopped in at Kurtz Culinary Creations for some of the cold pressed olive oil they carry there. I picked up the lemon infused, mandarin orange, and one with crushed Meyer lemons...We also tried all the samples they have there. So good!!!

Took this picture on the way home. The sunset Sunday evening was spectacular!

Now for my card for this week....drum roll please!

Kraftin' Kimmie posted another challenge on Friday night  Challenge 170 - Anything Goes!!! These are my favorite challenges as you can create whatever piece you want and there are no restrictions.
For this card I used Daisy Mae by Kraftin' Kimmie. She is one of the flower girls that was released awhile back.

I coloured the image using the following copic markers:
Skin: E00, E11
Hair: Y32, YR21
Flowers: R20
Ground: C1, C3
Dress: R81, R85

For the paper I used the Sophia line by Close to My Heart. I also used Close to My Heart cardstock in Pear.

The miscellaneous supplies I used were cheese cloth, light pink twine, flowers and stickles.

I also added a bit of stickles to the flowers on the front of the card to add a bit more dimension. As seen in the photo on the right.

Well that's all for now.

Enjoy!

KK Challenge 169 - Clean and Simple

Hey All!

So I don't know how I did it but I had written down all the supplies for this card, but do you think I can find it now...NOPE...NADA....NOTHING...

Kraftin' Kimmie has posted another challenge for this week and it was clean and simple. For me clean and simple is minimal embellishments.

So for this challenge I used Thalia from Kraftin' Kimmie's Goddess line. I just love her.

The paper I used is some old Bo Bunny that I had left over from some previous cards I had done.

Since this challenge was "clean and simple" I only used three purple jewels and some purple and lime green twine to accent this image.

I think it for this card it works well as it doesn't detract from the image which is what I wanted to take most of the attention.

Here is the close up of Thalia! I had fun colouring her in with my copics and just loved how she turned out!

Hope you all enjoy her!

KK Challenge 168 - Springy Pastel Colours

Good Afternoon All!!

Hope you are having a great Thursday. Only 1 more day till the weekend.

Every Friday Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps reduces a few of her stamps and last week I was able to pickup Cute-a-Saurus. I just fell in love with these little dinosaurs. In the package you get 3 adorable dinos and some coordinating sentiments.

So I picked this one to use on Kim's challenge this week which was Challenge 168 - Springy Pastel Colours.

You will notice that I not only pop dotted the pink square on the card but I also cut out the dinosaur and pot dotted him as well to add the extra dimension.

I did the background by hand...my first time...trying out a few new techniques. It was a bit harder than I thought it would be but I think it makes this card.
For this card I used Close to My Heart paper - Sophia. I also used Close to My Heart cardstock in Pear and Blush.

I used Distress Ink in Broken China to make the clouds in the background.

The copic colours I used were: YG11, YG63, YG03, C3, C5, Y13, RV63, 0, BG96, G94

Hope you like the card!
