KK Challenge 229 - An Oldie but a Goodie!!

It is absolutely disgusting here in Ontario - so rainy! The rain thought is such a good reason to stay in side and get crafty though.

Over at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps they have another weekly challenge. This week #229 is "An Oldie but a Goodie!!". This is such a great challenge that makes you delve into your stamp pile and pick something you haven't used in awhile. I know I seem to collect them and I have quite a few I have never used before, as some of you can probably agree with. LOL.

This challenge is hosted by the ever talented Krafty Girl, Melanie! So the rules of the challenge are easy you are to create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp that is one of your older stamps or one that you bought a while ago but haven't used yet! So dust off your rubber ladies and see what you come up with.

The stamp I choose is Missy by Annie. This stamp was first shown to us back in October 2011 - almost 3 years ago. I couldn't believe it!

For a bit of inspiration I decided to use Deconstructed Sketch 150 as the layout for my card. Sometimes I get into a total funk and have no idea what to do. This sketch helped together with the fun stamp and awesome paper.

For this card I used the following:

Copics:
E000, E00, E11, E13, R20, C1, C3, C7, BG11, BG32, BG34, R22, R24, YR24, E25, E29, E49
Paper: Pebbles - From me to you
Dies: Spellbinders - Ovals,  Memory Box - Elegant Scrollwork
Misc: Cardstock, flowers, jewels

Enjoy and Happy Long Weekend!

It has been an absolutely CRAZY week for me this week. I am so very glad it's the long weekend here in CANADA!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends...GOBBLE GOBBLE!!! So for Sharon's challenge this week I decided to use Witchypoo, an older stamp of Kraftin' Kimmies but such a good one!!!

I was inspired by The Wizard of Oz this week (managed to collect all the toys from McDonalds with the help of my friend Kim!!) So I decided to try my hand at green skin and what a challenge that turned out to be. Although I think it turned out rather well. Have you ever tried a different coloured skin?

So the paper I used was Graphic 45, some American Crafts glitter tape, and I coloured the image with copics.

Well I hope to see you play along this week!

Enjoy.

Cowboys and Turtles

Here is another card I created. I used Stamping Bella`s Turtle tots - cowboy. I used Close to My Heart paper the Sarsaparilla line.

I used a white card base and inked the edges with Barn Red ink by CTMH (Close to my Heart). The layers on the card start with a black base then blue patterned paper follwed up with a torn piece of the worded patterned paper.

This is the close up of the cowboy turtle. To cut the white circle that the turtle is stamped onto and the scalloped circle were cut using my spellbinders.

I coloured the background using blue chalk to make the clouds. Yellow chalk to create the sun. I used a bit more yellow to create a sunny effect around the clouds.

These are the copic markers I used to colour the image.

I love him - he looks awesome on this card.
